Founded by Joe and Peggy Dolan in 1976.
Philosophy: The KADMF protects the pride and dignity of families in need, through a simplified process to gain assistance without being subjected to lengthy application forms, interviews or waiting periods to receive help during a crisis. Based on the belief that help should be available to families in need who have medically involved children with all sorts of diseases, disabilities and injuries, assistance is provided to those at the poverty level as well as middle income households.
Mission: Families receive financial assistance with uninsured necessities, financial management education, in-kind donations, respite cruise on the Spirit of Philadelphia through the Family Fun Day program, gifts through the Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program, advocacy on their behalf and other resources to turn to for assistance.
